1969
Thomas Sign is founded
Thomas Sign is founded by Wade Thomas and hand painted signs are the primary business.
1972
First illuminated sign
The company manufactures their first illuminated plastic sign faces for Treasure Island Fun Center, Treasure Island, Florida.
1974
New facility
The company moves to a new 4,000 square foot facility, employs 7 people and bought their first crane truck for sign installation.
1978
Relocates to Pinellas Park, FL
With continued growth the company relocates to Pinellas Park, FL. Where they would continue to expand the manufacturing are over the next ten years at this location.
1983
Priscilla G. Thomas President
Priscilla G. Thomas joins the company as President and majority stock holder.
1983
ISA
The company becomes a member of the International Sign Association (ISA).
1986
Neon-bending
Thomas Sign adds neon-bending to their in-house capabilities.
1989
First National Account
The company bids and wins its first National account, K-Mart in 14 states
1990
Computer-automated router
Thomas Sign purchases their first computer-automated router and CAD is implemented into the Design and Manufacturing Process
1994
Larger Facility

25 Years
Celebrates 25 years.
1995
Channel letters
Introduces automated production of channel letters.
1998
Project Management
Project Management services are offered and the company continues to win national bids.
2000
Women-Owned Business
Thomas Sign is nationally recognized and certified as a Women-Owned Business by the WBENC.
2002
National Shipping
Signs are shipped to every U.S. state, Puerto Rico and islands of the Caribbean. The company has truly evolved to ‘national’ status.
2008
Digital printing
The company expands its product offerings to include wide format digital printing and 3M recognizes and certifies Thomas Sign as a Graphics Manufacturer.
