Thomas Sign is founded

 Thomas Sign is founded by Wade Thomas and hand painted signs are the primary business.

1972

First illuminated sign

The company manufactures their first illuminated plastic sign faces for Treasure Island Fun Center, Treasure Island, Florida.

1974

New facility

The company moves to a new 4,000 square foot facility, employs 7 people and bought their first crane truck for sign installation.

1978

Relocates to Pinellas Park, FL

With continued growth the company relocates to Pinellas Park, FL. Where they would continue to expand the manufacturing are over the next ten years at this location.

Priscilla G. Thomas President

Priscilla G. Thomas joins the company as President and majority stock holder.

ISA

The company becomes a member of the International Sign Association (ISA).

Neon-bending

Thomas Sign adds neon-bending to their in-house capabilities.

First National Account

The company bids and wins its first National account, K-Mart in 14 states

Computer-automated router

Thomas Sign purchases their first computer-automated router and CAD is implemented into the Design and Manufacturing Process
